The Amsterdam TV program 'So Dam Local' had been looking for a way to develop its identity and establish a look and feel with a title sequence. After chatting with the producers about the tone they wanted to create — a revealing exploration that showcased the hidden aspects of Amsterdam — I started developing a darker, emotive quality that paid homage to the classic 'XXX' coat of arms for which Amsterdam is famous.
